The Truth About Working From Home
Work-At-Home is a unique opportunity for an individual to perform their normal job functions from the comfort of their home or a location out of the office or place of business. Work-A-Home is not an internet scheme to make money online but consists of negotiations with your current or future employer as to the working conditions and location of your job.
Though it may seem enjoyable be able to work at home; an employee or Independent Contractor would need to have a full home office set up in order to handle the functions of their role. It may seem convenient but working at home could actually prove more of a distraction when attempting to work at home with small children; especially when performing customer service or other telephone work.
Counting the cost of working at home should depend on your unique situation and not an aggregate or average of any population. Just because a person would drive an hour to commute to work does mean you have or would make the commute in the regular course of work.
Having the flexibility to allocate your time equals the possibility of efficiency and increased profits over time. Increased efficiency would be a significant reason why an employer would opt for employees to work from home. Though you may not be able to convince your current boss of the benefits of working from home there are companies that strictly hire at home workers as employees and independent contractors.
